Job Description

The Robot Programmer will be an integral part of our customer’s initial project team to install a brand new automotive factory (Green Field). The Robot Programmer will interface with line builders to get familiar with the project scope; part of this early involvement is crucial to monitor work progress. Once the plant is up and running, the Robot Programmer will be part of the Robotic Expert Team. As a B+K team member you can expect:

Responsibilities

  • Path-teach KUKA robots for applications including but not limited to resistance welding, arc welding, material handling, material dispense, stud welding, etc.
  • Basic IO setup and system variables for the specified application for Daimler INTEGRA5 standard.
  • Electrical print reading.
  • Assist and verify that all robot dress components and installation meet customer specifications.
  • Ensure that all robots are properly mastered, have correct TCP and Load values, and all of this information is properly recorded according to customer needs.
  • Install hard and soft stops to meet or exceed industry safety standards.
  • Insert all relevant IO in robot paths including zone calls, reposition clamps, clear tools, path segments, etc.
  • Assist Controls Support in debugging the entire cell for automatic operation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting all mechanical problems in the system.
  • Ensure that the robot meets or exceeds all customer cycle time requirements through improving robot paths, improving the process flow through the use of IO signals, and suggesting modifications to the process itself.

Requirements

  • Degree in robotics or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)
  • Qualify and pass safety courses (lockout, safe to work, customer-required classes)
  • Familiarity with fieldwork and/or robot programming practices (KUKA)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers
  • Must pass standard medical test and drug screen
  • Demonstration of a professional attitude and courtesy towards others

Job Description

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for addressing throughput, run to run, and downtime-related issues with equipment in a production environment. This role will coordinate activities according to our customer’s standards (particularly the Autonomous and Professional Maintenance Pillar activities) while impacting the overall equipment effectiveness, through a systematic approach of planning and executing key maintenance enablers and coordinating all activities utilizing our customer’s TMS system. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical/engineering discipline or Journeymen status with 5 years manufacturing experience; or 10 years technical/manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems/components
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems/components
  • Qualify and pass safety courses (lockout, safe to work, customer-required classes)
  • Must possess a working knowledge of advanced technical problem-solving tools
  • Must pass standard medical test and drug screen
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the plant from hourly represented employees to senior leadership as required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
  • Experience with PLC, machine installation, robotic automation and BiW applications
  • Basic robotic experience (preferred with KUKA robots)
  • Basic PLC knowledge (preferred Siemens)
